This stuff tastes sooo good! I tried the Tango and it had an awesome fruit flavor. It’s hard to pinpoint all the flavors, but it was a great berry fruit punch kind of flavor. Checking the ingredients, it had some cool mixes of fruit juice, including acai and elderberry.
(The original Rumba is kind of like orange juice. Very much like Awake Good Morning Energy. It’s fine, but the Tango tastes so much better!)
I love the non-carbonated juice texture.
Even with the sucralose (which normally ruins drinks,) the flavor was good, and there was no aftertaste.
After drinking some, I had a bit of an uplifting feeling. It was cool. Then I finished the can a bit later in the afternoon, but I didn’t get much of a boost. I swear it was gone after an hour. (There wasn’t a crash, but the good, mildly energized feeling vanished.)
Tastes good though so I’ll try it again!!

It’s rare for me to find an energy drink that is healthy, tasty, and actually works. While Rumba doesn’t fit my description like FRS Healthy Energy does, it has some good points to it.
First, taste. The taste and texture are awesome! It’s based on juice and non-carbonated, which works for me.
The flavors:
Rumba – orange pineapple
Samba – cherry cranberry raspberry
Tango – berry fruit punch
Tango is by far the best. The others are pretty good.
One problem is the sucralose. I can taste it in the Samba flavor. If it wasn’t for that, the Samba would be almost as good as the Tango.
Also, I hate artificial sweeteners for health reasons.
I also don’t care for how a 16oz can of this contains 300 calories!! That is a lot of sugar, but typical for fruit juice, so that’s no surprise.
The energy boost is great when I drink the full 16oz can in the morning. It gives me a noticeable kick, a little more powerful than FRS. However it doesn’t go all the way to “jittery.” And the boost lasts basically all day with no crash.
Overall, not the healthiest beverage for everyday use, but it’s pretty good.
