  Not one to throw my health away by drinking caffeine-packed drinks every single day, I like to have a more natural looking energy drink now and then.

  So I had a Function Alternative Energy, which is pretty nice. It’s like a light fruit punch with a little caffeine and some herbs and stuff thrown in.

  I did like the strawberry guava flavor, but I didn’t care for the “bite” it had. I’m sure that’s due to the bitterness of the added caffeine, so I can understand it, but it didn’t fit well with the rest of the juicy flavor.

  As expected, the energy boost wasn’t great, even after drinking the full 16oz bottle. I actually needed a quick nap this afternoon even with the supposed energy boost.

  I might try this again some other day, but after my first try, I’m not getting my hopes up for a huge energy boost from this.
