If you saw my reviews on FRS liquid concentrate and cans, you saw that I like the drinks and the energy boost works great for me.

Unfortunately, with the chews, I usually need two servings to get a decent energy boost.

But the real problem is the health issue. These are just chunks of sugar and corn syrup! That's not healthy. And they still have sucralose in there, and I don't like artificial crap.

The only bright side is the taste. The standard flavors are actually pretty good, and the newer pomegranate blueberry flavor was truly good.

But overall, I don't recommend the FRS chews.

Definitely a lot of ‘healthy energy’ buzzing around right now and the latest in the line of the series are these chews which I tried after basketball the other day. They were definitely different...not at all of the flavour you’d expect from an energy tablet – sweet and fruity without a hint of glucose driven supplements. But personally I think that comes at a price, I didn’t really get the recovery I was hoping for from the chews and definitely didn’t have the same buzz and lift I got after my normal recovery snacks. Only really good if you're against normal stuff I suppose.

This review is for the pomegranate blueberry chews. They are delicious! I'm not sure if the orange and lemon-lime chews would be as good.

These things contain sugar and corn syrup so they're not exactly "healthy," and the energy boost isn't all that great, but there's something there. It's cool because it's a mild, stable energy boost without a crash.

I might buy these again because of the good taste and the convenience (take up little space, refrigeration not required, etc.,) but they're not going to replace a real energy drink or even my morning coffee.
